Hello, my name is Sheena Johnson. I am a consultant providing solutions for social justice + philanthropic + arts and culture organizations.
I bring over a decade of experience working at the intersection of social justice and arts & culture as both an accomplished artist-activist and effective non-profit administrator. Serving as program staff at two highly respected foundations— William and Flora Hewlett Foundation + Akonadi Foundation — has allowed me to gain a sector wide perspective on what it takes to create responsive, adaptable, and impactful non-profit organizations.
My ability to combine and leverage a mix of hard and soft skills has made me a unique asset to any team. My success includes creative non-traditional strategic partnerships, deep authentic community listening centering thevoice of youth and most impacted communities, a strong background in fundraising and marketing, decision making rooted in rigorous research and evaluation, visionary program and strategy development, and a fearless can do attitude rooted in a strong commitment to building community.
